Very easily grown, quick to establish and flowers in the first year from seed. Highly attractive to bees and butterflies and ideal for the cottage garden. A mid height border perennial, it is also suitable for growing in containers on the patio where its rich scent can be appreciated fully. Originating in Mexico and Arizona, Agastache is a plant of hotter climates although it is quite at home in the UK. The name means ‘many ears’, this refers to the flower form. Agastaches are part of the extensive Mint family, and have the familiar square stemmed structure. Height 36 inches (90 cm). Hardy in the UK, Europe, Japan, Australia and North America USDA Zones 8-10.
