<p>A colourful display of deep crimson, light pink, rose, red, yellow, and white fully-double flowers on tall, regal plants. Elegant old-fashioned flowers that will bloom the first year. Grows very tall in the back of the border, a traditional cottage garden favourite.</p><p>Direct seed May/June. If starting as transplants, use 10cm (4in) pots so they do not get rootbound before planting out. Sow 5mm deep. Germinates at 20C in 14-21 days. Space 60cm apart, heitht 1.3-1.8m in full sun. Approx. 250 seeds/g.</p><p>Hollyhocks are thougt to have originated in Turkey or Palestine. The name Alcea is an ancient name for a mallow.</p>
