Also known as A. ceruleum. This flowering onion has blooms of cornflower-blue arranged in globes of one and one-half inches. Bloom period is around June into July coming into it's own as the spring bloomers are fading in the bed. Reaches two feet in bloom. A rich, well drained soil with plenty of light. Will take a bit of shade, but don't keep it too dark for good flower production. More than one bulb per pot.
