<p>Reliable and long-lived, these are a true Victorian gem, which flowers over a long period in shades of pink, mauve and white, the heads will nod in the breeze, giving them the name Wind Flower. You can grow this anemone on even the poorest soils, so it is ideal for awkward positions such as shady corners or dry banks. Indispensable in the cottage garden border alongside Michaelmas Daisies and traditional Chrysanthemums.</p> <p>Of the Buttercup family, various new varieties of anemone huphensis var japonica were developed in Japan and China and introduced to Europe from Shanghai at around the time of 1844, by Robert Fortune.</p> <p>Height 2-4 feet (60 - 120 cm).
