<p>Bred specifically for culinary use, it has exceptional flavour and attractive purple-red skin and yellow flesh iwth excellent texture. Shows moderate resistance to powdery mildew. Ideal for mashing or in casseroles, it stores and freezes very well.</p><p>Prefers a rich, well cultivated soil. Sow outdoors May-July, 1.5cm deep, allowing 45cm between rows. Keep moist and thin out as early as possible to 20 cm apart. Harvest Oct to March. They may be left in the ground until required, or lifted and stored under straw in a cool place. Make 2 or 3 successional sowings to provide a crop throughout the winter.</p><p></p>
