<p>Large round classic turnips, white with a purple top.</p><p>Grows best in cold weather and deep, rich, well-drained but moisture retentive soil. Plant seed directly outside once all danger of frost has passed. Plant in a sunny location. Sow seed 13mm (1/2in) deep, 2.5cm (1 inch) apart. Turnips store very well for use all through the winter.</p>
