It was once known as 'rattlesnake grass', as the 2-2.5cm long seed heads on this grass resemble the 'rattle' on the tail of a rattlesnake.</p><p>Direct-seed May/June in sun. Sow 10 seeds per space; do not thin. Lightly cover seeds. Germinates at 20C (70F) in 14 days. Harvest in 13 weeks. Space 20cm (8 in) apart. Height 60cm (2 ft). Approx. 400 seeds/g.</p><p></p>
