<p>This is the species most often found when trekking here (Indiana, USA) locally in the woods during spring. The raceme of blooms is a pale icy blue in color, with individual flowers reaching about one half inch in length centered by stamens of yellow. All is carried above the strap-like foliage to a height of about eighteen inches. It is usually found on rocky slopes in leaf mold rich pockets of soil.</p>
