<p>This magnificent plant has heart-shaped leaves and lily-like flowers, and may reach 12 feet tall. Each stalk can produce up to 20 flowers, each about 10in (25cm) long, heavily scented in cream striped with maroon-red in the throat.</p><p>The bulb dies after flowering, but many offsets are produced. It can also be propagated from seed.</p><p>It comes from cool temperate regions of Central and Western China, in moist forest areas.</p>
