Escarole is the name for the endive type that have leaves broad, coarse and crumpled. Plant type is medium large, it has deep hearted inner leaves - the other type of endive is called curly endive.</p><p>Endive is easy to grow and should be grown like lettuce. pH 6.5-7.0.
