<p>Endive has light green leaves with thick crisp ribs and fine narrow frilled edges.</p><p>Require fertile, fairly moist soil of pH 7.0. Sow seeds in early spring for midsummer harvest or in summer for fall harvest. Thin when seedlings 1-2in tall. Never allow to suffer from lack of moisture; keep ground damp. Watering is necessary in dry weather.</p>
