SORRY, THIS PRODUCT IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FROM ANY SUPPLIER. Grown for it's roots. Harvest the roots in the fall and store in sand for 4-5 weeks. Then, place the roots in dark, warm location, in a container 50 cm (20inch) deep with the crown at soil level. In about 4 weeks you can harvest creamy yellow cone-shaped buds which can be eaten fresh or cooked as a gourmet vegetable in the French cuisine. The buds are mildly bitter tasting. Chicory needs a deep rich soil like carrots and salsify.
