<p>Long, thin and dark green with slight ribbing, this cucumber is sweet and tender. It can be eaten peeled or unpeeled, like the common 'English cucumbers'. Try it in traditional sandwiches for tea! If you slice them thinly and cover with salt for an hour, they become easier to digest ('burpless').</p><p>Plant directly outdoors once all danger of frost is passed and the soil is warm. The soil should be well worked and kept moist, and find a sheltered location. Cucumbers are shallow rooted, so mulch the soil underneath the leaves to prevent drying out and keep weeds under control.</p>
