Easy to grow and perfect for eating or making into Halloween lanterns.</p><p>Here's how to grow them: In April sow seeds in 3in pots of compst, about 1in deep. Keep on a sunny windowsill or greenhouse to grow. Plant out when all danger of frost has passed. Gradually get your plants used to being outside. Plant them 3 feet apart in a sunny, weed-free spot in the garden. Between May and June, you can sow them directly outside, 2 or 3 seeds in one spot, about 3 feet apart. Leave the strongest plant to grow on and carefully remove the others if necessary. <br>The plants will have yellow flowers and soon small pumpkins will grow. If you like, you can write your name on them now and it will still be there when the pumpkin is ready to pick. Help them grow by feeding and watering them well,e specially when the pumpkins are growing through a dry spell. Make sure you pick them before the first frosts and store them in a cool dry place.</p>
