<p>Beautiful, huge scarlet flower heads, 8-10cm (3-4 in.) on strong 20-25cm (8-10 in.) stems, accented by tiny white anthers at the centre of each florette. Begins to bloom within 80 days from sowing; continues all season if spent flowers are picked off. Beautiful in beds with Alyssum.</p><p>Direct seed April through July. do not cover seeds. Germinates at 20C in 8-14 days. Space 30cm apart; grow in sunny areas, height 45cm. Dianthus comes from the Greek for divine flower, named for the fragrance and beauty of the blossoms.</p>
