<p>(Family Iridaceae) There are 44 cormous perennials in this family. These summer bloomers are known as Angel’s Fishing Rods or Wand Flowers - known for their graceful wands of white, pink or purplish small trumpet - almost bell shaped flowers. D. pendulum grows to 3ft, with grass-like foliage.</p><p>This species is hardy to USDA zone 7 and will do well in good moist garden soil with some drainage. They will thrive on the bank of a pond in full sun. Propagation is from seed or division of clumps in fall or spring.</p><p>These South African plants have been grown in the British Isles for many years.</p>
