<p>(Family Primulaceae) This is a spring-flowering perennial grown for its distinctive flowers: they have completely reflexed pink petals and prominent stamens. It forms an 8cm (3in) clump of kidney-shaped leaves in a flat rosette. The flowering stems reach 30cm (12in) in height.</p><p>This perennial needs a dry dormant summer period. Grow it in full sun or part shade and moist but well-drained soil. It is fully hardy. Propagate by seed in autumn or by division in winter.</p>
