<p>Rough and tough big flowers have the most exquisite deep mauve-purple petals in the flower world. A valuable tall perennial in the border. Blooms July to September. Dead head regularly and cut the whole plant back to 15cm (6 in) in late fall. Start seeds in a nursery bed and move to a permanent spot at the back of the border.
