<p>Florence Fennel forms a bulbous crispy vegetable base with a delicate anise or liquorice flavour. The leaves are fine and ferny.</p><p>Plant outdoors in mid-spring in full sunshine. Fennel is a semi-hardy perennial so may survive the winter in some parts of Canada. It is usually grown as an annual. May need to be staked in strong winds.
