<p>Lashings of that rich, traditional Gentian blue colour are supplied on lush stems of lanced foliage radiating from the dense, central crown. A much loved colour on a much loved plant. A gem for the rockery, it can also be used as a pot plant in the cool greenhouse or alpine house. Also attractive planted into the border, at the front, amongst fellow low growing varieties.</p> <p>Gentiana species occur across the globe in alpine, rocky areas. From a range of 350 species, Gentiana moorcroftiana is a particularly choice specimen from Pakistan, and like all Gentians, is said to have medicinal uses.</p> <p>Height 6-12 inches (15-30 cm). Hardy in the UK, Europe, Japan, Australia and North America USDA Zones 6-8.</p>
