Delicate white seeds should not be soaked for more than 1 hour before planting. Approx. 85 white seeds/oz.</p><p>CULTURE: Beans for drying are grown like bush beans. Mid-May sowings are the most likely to mature well. <p>INSECTS: Bean weevils in your stored dried seeds may be eliminated by freezing the seed at -20 C (0 F) for 2 weeks. <p>HARVEST: You can eat the seeds before they dry fully, or wait until 90% of the leaves have yellowed, then pull the plant up by the roots and hang out of the rain to dry.(1) Shell pods individually by hand. (2) Hold plants by the roots and bash back and forth in a barrel. (3) Beat small piles of plants with a flail. <p>PRESERVE: Make sure beans are fully dry and store in a cool place. <p>SEEDSPEC: Minimum germination standard: 80%.
