<p>A British bred 'Beauty Heart' variety of Chinese Radish with sweet red flesh of slightly nutty taste. Very large roots, approx 450g (1 lb) each, may remain in the ground to be lifted as required. This is a type of winter radish. Sliced roots are delicious and make an attractive addition to mixed salads or stir fry cooking.</p><p>Sow in July for winter use. In very severe weather, cover with straw or bracken. Alternatively, lift and store roots in dry sand, soil or peat.</p>
