<p>Traditional dark red, an old-fashioned favourite, Scabiosa 'Scarlet' produces flat quilled flowers ideal for cuttiing and perfect for attracting butterflies. It makes an unusual and long lasting, very attractive cut flower as well. Landscape uses include borders and massing, but these plants provide colour to any part of your garden. Cool season plants by nature, they are ideal for zones 2-4.</p><p>Sow directly into the garden once ground can be worked. Average well-drained soil is preferred.</p>
