<p>The stems are 11/2 to about 3 feet in height and slightly arching. Leaves are oval and resemble Solomon's Seal. The white fuzzy blooms in May are at the end of the stems. Berries are red-black. Grow in rich woodland soil with mulch of leaves. Some good companions are Trillium luteum, Hosta and Primula sieboldii.</p>
