Suitable outdoors in sheltered areas and enjoying dappled shade, Sollya is ideal in that awkward corner which was previously unplantable. Indeed, you could twine Sollya through evergreen conifers for a subtle effect. In the autumn, the plant will often produce blue berries, which are edible.</p> <p>An interesting plant from the Pittosporum family, Sollya heterophylla is one of three species in the genus. Naturally foundi n areas of light woodland in Australia, Sollya honours the name of Richard Horsman Solly, a botanist who died in 1858.</p> <p>Height 60-80 inches (1.5-2 m).
