<p>This variety, originally recorded and pictured as T. striata simplex, was pictured in London's Encyclopaedia of Plants in 1829. It gained particular favour with Victoiran Scottish and Northern England florists where exhibitions and competitions were frequent. The single mahogany flowers are broadly striped with golden yellow. Height 30in (75cm).</p>
