Thymus vulgaris 'Olde English Thyme'

Zones 2-5

One of the best traditional herb flavours, this old-fashioned thyme should be used sparingly to compliment the flavour of all roast meats, sprinkled on eggs or cheese dishes or, more unusually, try it mixed with melted butter over prawns, shrimps or lobster. It makes a great companion plant when grown close to cabbages, cauliflower, broccoli and brussel sprouts as it is a strong deterrent of cabbage root fly or cabbage worm.
